CPI(ML) demands inquiry against policemen involved in firing
Ranchi, Jan 21 (UNI) Criticising yesterday's police firing at Giridih, the Jharkhand CPI(ML) today said the incident occurred due to administrative failure.
Demanding inquiry against guilty police personnel, state party secretary Shubhendu Sen here said the government should register a case against those policemen and provide compensation to the victim's family.
Mr Sen alleged that the land mafias were also behind the incident.
Police had to resort to firing to control an agitating mob at Makhmargoraintand under Birni police station of the district during Tazia procession yesterday.
