Cold wave claims one life in Rajkot
Rajkot, Jan 21 (UNI) Most parts of Saurashtra-Kutch region of Gujarat continued to be in the grip of a severe cold wave, that claimed one life today.
A twenty-year old labourer died of cold in Jam tawor area of the city early this morning. The deceased, identified as Parmanand Bagdiram (20), hailed from Ratlam, official sources said.
Nalia in Kutch district was the coldest town in the region, registering a minimum temperature of 1.6 degrees celsius, followed by Amreli 4 degrees, Junagadh 6 degrees, Rajkot 6.6 degrees and Bhuj 8 degrees celsius, the sources said.
