Charges framed against three 2005 Delhi serial blasts accused
New Delhi, Jan 21 (UNI) A city court today framed charges against three associates of Tariq Ahmed Dar in connection with the serial blasts that rocked Sarojini Nagar market, Paharganj and a DTC bus in Kalkaji area in the capital on the eve of Diwali two years ago, leaving 63 people dead and more than 200 injured.
Additional Sessions Judge Babu Lal charged Mohammed Rafiq Shah and Mohammed Hussain Fazli under Sections 120B of the Indian Penal Code (criminal conspiracy), 121 (waging war against the country), 121A (conspiracy to commit offence against the state), 122 (collecting arms for waging war against the state), 302 (murder) and 307 (attempt to murder).
The judge also framed charges against Farooq Ahmed Batloo under the provisions of Explosives Substance Act and Unlawful Activities (Prevention Act).
Charges could not be framed against another accused Ghulam Ahmed Khan, who looked mentally ill in the court today. The judge asked the jail superintendant to get Khan examined at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and submit the report to the court on January 20.
