Carla Bruni likely to visit India

New Delhi, Jan 21 (UNI) Former supermodel Carla Bruni is likely to accompany French President Nicolas Sarkozy during his two-day State visit to India, beginning January 25.

Sources indicated that she would visit India, saying Mr Sarkozy would be accompanied by a huge delegation, including six Ministers and about 50-60 CEOs, besides ''a couple of invitees of the President''.

However, officials of the External Affairs Ministry and the French Embassy in New Delhi are tight-lipped about Ms Bruni's visit.

Media reports here today said she would be joining Mr Sarkozy, who will be the Chief Guest at the Republic Day parade on January 26, in Agra.

Informed sources expressed ignorance whether the French President would tour Agra during his two-day packed visit.

''I don't know...I am not able to say,'' said informed sources when asked whether she would accompany the President.

A spokesman of the External Affairs Ministry had also recently expressed ignorance over Ms Bruni's India visit.
