Bajpai appointed as Vice Chancellor of Kurukshetra University

Chandigarh, Jan 21 (UNI) Dr R P Bajpai has been appointed Vice Chancellor of Kurukshetra University with effect from the next month.

The appointment of Dr Bajpai, who is the Vice Chancellor of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, was made by Haryana Governor A R Kidwai in his capacity as the Chancellor of the University.

Dr Bajpai's appointment is for a period of three years or till he attains the age of 65, which ever is earlier with effect from February 1, 2008.

He will, however, hold the charge of Office of VC, Guru Jambheshwar University, Science and Technology, Hisar, and Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram University, Science and Technology, Murthal, till further orders.
