Air Marshal visits Air Station in TN

Coimbatore, Jan 21: Air Marshal G Nayyar, Air Officer Commanding -in-Chief, Maintenance Command, today reviewed a ''Guard of Honour'' at Surlur Air Station, near here.

According to an IAF press release, Air Marshal Nayyar was received by Air Commodore P K Srivatsava at the Air Station.

The Air Marshal inaugurated the newly-constructed building for 'Test Repair and Callibration Laboratory.' He visited Avro and Dornier Aircraft MHL and inspected maintenance activities.

The welfare activities were monitored by the Air Marshal's Ms Rachita Nayyar, President of Air Force Welfare Association (Regional). She also visited 'Prem Ashray,' the boy's hostel and 'Savera,' a school for underprivileged children.

Later the Air Marshal and his wife left by an IAF aircraft, the release added.
