4 policemen booked for murder

Badaun, Jan 21 (UNI) Four policemen were today booked for allegedly beating to death a 12-year-old boy in Dataganj area here.

According to sources, the policemen had gone to arrest Sunny, a criminal, in Bajaria colony late last night.

However, in Sunny's absence, the policemen arrested his brother Santosh.

Later, they allegedly thrashed Santosh so brutally that he died.

Badaun's Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Prakash D has suspended the four accused, including sub-inspectors Jagdev Mallik, Sacchidanand and constables Ram Nath and Ajay Rana and booked them for murder.

The matter has been handed over to Police Superintendent (city) Jagdish for further investigation.

The accused are yet to be arrested.
