Three buried alive in under construction building in HP
Hamirpur, Jan 20 (UNI) At least three labourers were killed and another seriously injured after they were buried alive under an under construction building in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh early today, police said.
The three were working in the under construction additional complex of library of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) here when the incident occurred, the police told UNI.
The dead have been identified as Chhote Lal of Nepal, Jethu of Chhattisgarh and Deepak of Jharkhand, police added.
The bodies of the dead were pulled out of the debris after half an hour of labour, it said, adding that the injured, identified as Sunil Kumar, has been admitted to a local district hospital here.
The police said their bodies have been handed over to the relatives after the post-mortem.
A case has been registered under Section 304/34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and investigations were on.
