Man commits suicide in Kathua

Jammu, Jan 20 (UNI) An employee of Ranjit Sagar dam allegedly committed suicide by jumping down from a bridge on Kathua-Basohli road here in Jammu and Kashmir, police sources today said.

The person, identified as Prem Chand, 55, of Basantpur, jumped down the bridge yesterday afternoon and succumbed to injuries while being shifted to a hospital, sources said.

They said family dispute was reportedly the cause of suicide.

Police have started the investigation, they added.
