Intending Congress candidate sues newspaper
Kohima, Jan 20 (UNI) Former minister and intending Congress candidate from the Ghaspani-1 Assembly constituency under Dimapur district Dr Kakheto Zhimomi has filed a legal suit against a Dimapur-based English daily.
Sources said here today that Dr Zhimomi had filed a Rs one crore suit against The Morung Express for allegedly damaging his reputation by publishing the false news that he had withdrawn his candidature from the Nagaland Assembly on health grounds.
The first hearing of the suit will be held on February six, the sources added.
