CLP ridicules TDP's promise
Hyderabad, Jan 20 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Legislature Party (CLP) today ridiculed the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu's promise to increase the widow, physically challenged and oldage pension to Rs 500, if the TDP will come to power in the State.
Addressing a press conference here, Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister K Rosaiah said the former Chief Minister was making several ''unimaginable promises'' to the people. Earlier Mr Naidu promised free uninterrupted power supply for the farm sector for nine hours and reduction in domestic tariff.
He said the State Government was distributing the pensions at the rate of Rs 200 on the first of every month. The Government had decided to distribute 40 lakh pensions by the end of March this year.
