Clash during 'Muharram' procession; Sec 144 clamped
Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 20 (UNI) The Ananthapur district administration clamped section 144 at Untakallu village in the district after a group clash, during a 'Muharram' procession tonight.
Police said two groups of different castes clashed with sticks, injuring two persons.
Police resorted to a lathicharge and fired in the air when the clash continued. The injured were admitted to a hosptial in Bellary.
