12 government officials suspended in central Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 20 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended 12 officials of different department for unauthorised absence from duty in the central Kashmir yesterday, an official spokesman said today.

He said on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Khawaja Farooq Ahmad Renzu, a checking squad led by Additional DC inspected various offices in the district.

During the inspection, 12 officials of different departments were found absence from duty without any sanction.

Disciplinary action had been initiated against the absentees, he said.

In similar action in Baramulla district 13 officials were suspended on Friday, he added.
