Two booked for threatening to kill Jail Authority

Puducherry, Jan 19 (UNI) Police today registered cases under six sections of IPC against two inmates of the Puducherry central prison for threatening to kill the Deputy Superintendent of Prisons, yesterday.

According to police, two persons hailing from Madurai - Kumaran and Shenbagakumar - were arrested and imprisoned in a murder case here in 2002.

The two were seen using a mobile phone inside the central prison premises here. The Deputy Superintendent Mr Mohanraj seized it and interrogated them when the two threatened to kill him. Mohanraj lodged a complaint with the police who registered the cases.
