Rajasthan Patrika to award outstanding journalists
Kolkata, Jan 19 (UNI) To recognise the efforts of leaders in media and their outstanding contribution in upholding professional values, the Rajasthan Patrika Group will announce the first Karpoor Chandra Kulish Award, 2007, for excellence in print journalism.
A release issued by the group here yesterday stated that the award theme for 2007 would be ''Human Development'', which would honour journalists for their outstanding contribution in protecting and promoting ethics and morality and the right and freedom of the people.
''The award will be open to those who have authored and published the most compelling write-ups in media, contributing to changing the lives and meeting the aspirations of people,'' the release added.
The award will be announced at a ceremony in New Delhi in the first half of 2008.
A cash prize of USD 11,000 will be conferred on the winner, besides a medal and a certificate for each team member and a trophy for the institution or team leader.
