Intl kite festival held at Mangalore
Mangalore, Jan 19 (UNI) The bright blue skies of Panambur beach in the city turned into a colourful sight to behold as people came in large numbers to participate in the international kite festival sponsored by ONGC-MRPL today.
The colourful and varied kites, frisking in the sky, enthralled the gathering. As many as 60 flyers, including 20 from abroad, participated in the festival.
The skies were filled with kites of varied size and hues, the beach with people and the air with excitement.
With big and bold drags, the experienced kite fliers orchestrated their own sorties in the skies, making their kites dance and undulate.
The two-day festival was inaugurated by MRPL Managing Director R Rajamani.
The international fliers were from Italy, France, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium.
