Gastrointestinal problem landed Gwyneth Paltrow in hospital

Washington, Jan 19 : Gwyneth Paltrow was admitted to the hospital following a gastrointestinal problem, the actress' chef friend Mario Batali has revealed.

Batali said that Paltrow was hospitalised in New York's Mount Sinai Hospital for "a little gastrointestinal situation," and is doing fine now.

"It's now been straightened out. She's [doing] great," Usmagazine.com quoted Batali, as saying.

He also said that in three weeks, Paltrow would be joining him to shoot a PBS cooking show in Majorca and Valencia, Spain, set to air in October. Paltrow was hospitalised on Jan 14, but the cause for admission was unknown at the time.

"She was slumped over in a wheelchair pushed by [husband] Chris Martin. She looked not well," an eyewitness said.

The actress' rep issued a statement the following day, saying, "She is at home and ok."
