Mumbai, Jan 18 (UNI) As Mumbaikars have been deeply affected by the alleged molestation of two NRI girls on December 31, Radio Mirchi (98.3 FM) has pledged its support to the well-being of women in the city with its campaign 'Yeh Mumbai Nahi Hai Meri Jaan'.
The campaign, which kicked off earlier this month, focuses on special issues related to the incident. The show has been receiving an overwhelming response from the listeners, across the city, who are sending SMS to the studio to pledge their support, a release said.
In addition to this, famous Bollywood celebrities have come forward to voice their concern, including Manoj Bajpai, Sandhya Mridul, Swanand Kirkire, Jackie Shroff, Rajdeep Sardesai and Neetu Singh. They can be heard appealing to the listeners to be aware and avoid such incidents in their exclusive bytes on the radio channel.
Further, actors of the recent Bollywood film ''Halla Bol'' -- Vidya Balan, Pankaj Kapoor and Ajay Devgan -- can also be heard on the radio station talking about the risks and the benefits of ''speaking out'' against such issues, the release added.
