Meditation programmes being held across capital
New Delhi, Jan 18 (UNI) Memorial lectures and meditation programmes are being held across the capital on ''World Peace and Meditation Day' today.
Followers of Prajapita Brahmakumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya are celebrating the 39th death anniversary of their founder, Pitashri Prajapita Brahma, as 'World Peace and Meditation Day' globally.
''He identified the practice and promotion of India's ancient spiritual wisdom, rajyoga meditation, healthy lifestyle and universal values as the basis for world peace, unity and brotherhood,'' a release said.
Thousands of students of the institution in and around Delhi will observe a day-long spiritual silence, contemplate and meditate to spread pure, positive and soothing vibrations all around, it added.
''Pitashri Brahma rendered selfless service for the emancipation of the masses, especially of women...in commemoration of his divine ascension, meditation programmes are being held at different rajyoga centres of the organisation,'' the release said.
