Let us await court verdict on Sethusamudram: Cong
New Delhi, Jan 18 (UNI) The Congress today said the Government would wait for the court order on Sethusamudram before going ahead with the project.
''Let us await the court verdict,'' Congress spokesman Abhishek Singhvi told reporters when asked whether the Government would go ahead with the project after an experts' committee did not find the presence of the adam's bridge.
''The experts' committee report is followed by affidavits, detalied arguments and finally the court order,'' he said.
He attacked the BJP for its hypocrisy in demanding 33 per cent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and State legislatures.
''Why did they not implement it when they were in power,'' he said and added that the Congress was committed to one-third reservation for women, but it was lack of consensus from other parties which was holding it back.
