India pays homage to martyrs to mark 60th army day

New Delhi, Jan 15, 2008 : The Indian army on January 15 commemorated its 60th Foundation Day by paying homage to martyred soldiers.

Chiefs of the three wings of the armed forces, General Deepak Kapoor, chief of the army staff, Admiral Sureesh Mehta, the navy chief and Air Marshall Fali Homi Major, chief of the air staff, offered floral tributes at the Amar Jawan Jyoti or the Eternal Flame at India Gate memorial in the national capital New Delhi.
