''Unusualy warm'' weather as mercury shoots to 5 deg above normal
New Delhi, Jan 17 (UNI) Today was another ''unusually warm'' winter day for Delhiites as the mercury, continuing its upwards movement, shot up to five degrees above normal at 11.6 Degree Celsius.
The clouds hovering over the Delhi skyline for the second consecutive day led to a rise in minimum temperature to 11.6 Degree C, five degrees above normal.
The maximum, too, also recorded five degrees above normal at 26.3 Degree C.
Meanwhile, the visibility levels remained near normal at 800m.
The warm weather in the city could persist for the next few days with the weathermen forecasting an increase in minimum temperature to 13 Degree C tomorrow.
''The current meteorological analysis and Numerical Prediction models suggest that no significant change in minimum temperature is likely over plains of Northwest India during the next 48 hrs,''the Met office said.
The Met office has forecast a generally cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with possibility of light rains.
