Raje writes to centre for including Gujjar in denotified Tribe

Jaipur, Jan 17(UNI) Rajasthan government has asked the Centre to add four castes, including the Gujjars, in the 'de-notified tribes' and providing a reservation of four to six per cent for them.

Senior BJP leader and party national treasurer Ramdas Agarwal MP told UNI that Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje had sent a letter recommending their inclusion in the 'denotified tribes'.

Notably, the Gujjars have called for a seige of Jaipur and a blockade of the Jaipur-Agra National Highway on Jan 21 to press their demand for inclusion in the Scheduled Tribe.
