HP pegs Annual plan hike of 14.3% at Rs 2,400 cr
Shimla, Jan 17 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today said that it will peg for the Annual Plan size for the next fiscal 2008-09 at Rs 2,400 crore and would moot the proposal to the Planning Commission in the Plan discussions.
In a meeting here with the newly elected MLAs, Mr Dhumal said that he will meet Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia soon to finalise the Annual Plan.
The meeting is slated for later this month.
Mr Dhumal said the proposal by the state government entails a hike of 14.3 per cent over the last year plan size.
Referring to fund allocation to each of the constituencies, Mr Dhumal advised the MLAs to coordinate with the relevant departments for ensuring the feasibility and execution of their priorities.
He said all such detailed feasibility project reports need to be prepared in a time-bound manner for early implementation.
