Hindustan Construction bags Rs 375.38 cr order

a
leading
infrastructure
construction
and
development
company
has
bagged
a
prestigious
contract
worth
Rs.
375.37
crore
today
from
Indian
Strategic
Petroleum
Reserves
Limited
(ISPRL)
to
construct
India"s
first
strategic
crude
oil
storage
at
Vishakhapattanam,
Andhra
Pradesh.
This order is for construction of underground rock caverns for storage of crude oil. It includes, detailed engineering and design, underground excavation, access tunnels, water curtain galleries, main storage cavern, shafts and associated underground civil works including geological mapping.
This project is part of the three strategic crude oil storages with a total capacity of 5 million tons planned by Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Ltd, a subsidiary of Oil Industry Development board. The first of these oil storages of 1.33 million tonnes capacity is planned in Vishakhapattanam. The project will be completed in 36 months.
