Gohil new CLP leader of Gujarat

Gandhinagar, Jan 17 : Former Minister and senior Congress leader from Saurashtra, Shaktisinh Gohil, has been appointed as the Leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) Assembly in Gujarat.

Senior party leader B K Hariprasad said on Wednesday night that they had a discussion on the name of the CLP leader with Congress MLAs and they suggested Gohil's name which was approved by the high command also.

Defence Minister A K Antony and the party's Gujarat observer B K Hariprasad had a personal meeting with all Congress MLAs before Gohil's name was finalised.

A brief session of the 12th Gujarat Legislative Assembly is scheduled on January 18.
