First phase of Rs 500 Cr Innovative Film City opens tomorrow

Bangalore, Jan 17 (UNI) The first phase of the Rs 500 crore 'Innovative Film City', built at Bidadi, 40 km from here, would be thrown open for public tomorrow, Innovative Group Chairman and Managing Director Sarvana Prasad said today.

Talking to newspersons here, he said it was the country's first multi-crore fully integrated entertainment concept and the first phase built at a cost about Rs 100 crore consisted of world famous 'Ripleys 'Believe It or Not' 'Museum', 'Louis' 'Tussuad Wax Museum', 'Funplex', 'Aqua Kingdom', 'Dinosaur World', 'Cartoon City', 'Haunted Mansion', 'Go-carting zone', a mini golf course, food court and an amphi-theatre.

Mr Prasad said the second and final phase would be completed and opened for public by April 2008. Six mega studios, the production house and the film academy in association with Griffth and Bond Universities from Australia was expected to be completed in the second phase of the project.

The CMD said six Signature Mansions would be constructed and it would be named on celebrities and one Mansion would be named on Dada Saheb Palkhe awardee and Kannada Matinee idol late Rajkumar and other names would be selected soon.

Mr Prasad said ''our vision was to create a state-of-the-art studio for pan-India movie makers and also to provide a wholesome world-class family entertainment destination for the people at affordable cost. With the invaluable support of our global partners and under the architectural excellence of Australia's Sander Son Group, the Innovative Film Society has evolved into a reality of epic-proportions''.

The CMD announced the joint venture with Dubai-based Five Billion Dollar Event Trading Agency (ETA) Ascon Star Group for developing the upcoming residential complexes proposed in the Innovative Film city.

ETA CEO Syed PMH Ismail, said ''the project indulges in High Life. This would be an exclusive residential zone, which offers lavish life-style apartments and villas, each one designed to elevate the concept of luxurious living in six-lakh sqft with apartments, villas, service apartments and a Club House with all the exotic ammenities''.
