Haryana adds 10 lakh tonne to Central pool
Chandigarh, Jan 16 (UNI) The Haryana government has delivered 10.84 lakh metric tonnes rice to the Central Pool so far this season.
Stating this Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan today said six Government procuring agencies and millers would deliver a total of 16.14 lakh metric tonnes rice to the central pool during the entire Kharif season.
Mr Chander Mohan said that Hafed had delivered 2.97 lakh metric tonnes rice to the central pool followed by Food and Supplies Department 2.47 lakh tonnes, Haryana Agro Industries 94,898 metric tonnes, Confed 79150 metric tonnes, Haryana Warehousing Corporation 22602 metric tonnes and FCI 6971 metric tonnes.
The millers had delivered 3.36 lakh metric tonnes rice to the central pool.
