Punjab Youth Congress sacks Jalandhar (Rural) president

Jalandhar, Jan 15 (UNI) Punjab Youth Congress today sacked District Youth Congress (Rural) president with immidiate effect.

Punjab Youth Congress president Vijay Inder Singla, in a press note issued here this evening, stated that Jalandhar Youth Congress (Rural) president Sukhmeet Singh ''Deputy'', who is also a Congress councillor from Ward number 26, was dismissed from the party post with immidiate effect.

It may be mentioned that in a kidnapping of a real estate developer Subhash Kumar's son Micky, Sukhmeet Singh's name cropped up during police investigations alongwith few other persons. It was alleged that for the release of the victim, a sum of Rs one crore was paid to kidnappers.
