LIC Kozhikode bags second place

Kozhikode, Jan 15 (UNI) The LIC Kozhikode Division has bagged second position at the All India level by garnering Rs 437 crore as premium for over 2.96 lakh policies as on date, a senior official today said.

The division, comprising five districts in Malabar, recorded 82 per cent growth in premium and 28 per cent in policies as compared to last year's Rs 241.19 crore in premium and over 2.32 lakh policies, Senior Divisional Manager R Sreenivasan told reporters here today.

The Ernakulam Division bagged the first position at All India Level recording 97 growth by posting a business of Rs 931 crore till today.

He said the Kozhikode Division proposed to open to more Satellite Samparak Offices at Valancherry and Nadapuram for the convenience of policy holders during the current fiscal.
