K'taka Bank, BSNL Telecom Dist in pact

Mangalore, Karnataka, Jan 15 (UNI) BSNL subscribers can now pay telephone bills through the Karnataka Bank Limited following an agreement between the bank and the Daxina Kannada Telecom District.

According to a release here today, the bank's 54 branches in South Kanara and Udupi would accept payment of telephone bills issued by the D K Telecom District.

The pact would facilitate the payment of bills on or before the due date from all individuals and corporates. However, Public Telephone Service booths were outside the purview of the arrangement.

All clearing instruments should be tendered or accepted by the branch at least two working days in advance of the 'Pay by Date' mentioned in the bill, the release added.
