CPI(Maoist) sub-zonal commander arrested

Latehar, Jan 15 (UNI) Police arrested a self-styled sub-zonal CPI(Maoist) commander, from Phulsoo village under Balumath police station, in the district today.

Superintendent of police Ravikant Dhan acting on a tip-off police conducted raids in the area and arrested the ultra-- Meenu Ganjhu.

Mr Dhan said the ultra was involved in a number of naxal operations and the government had announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head in 2003.

The police team involved in the operation would be awarded, he added.
