West Bengal government is a failure: Forward Bloc
New Delhi, Jan 14 (UNI) The West Bengal government today came under severe attack from one of the Left parties for its ''failure to emerge as a role model'' to the rest of the country.
A statement of the Delhi unit of All India Forward Bloc (AIFB), quoting its national secretary G Devarajan, said even after 30 years of uninterrupted rule by the Left parties, the Left movement has failed to spread its influence in the Hindi heartland of the country.
He stated this while inaugurating the party's Delhi State Council meeting here.
''The AIFB will not subscribe to the idea that in order to establish socialism, we have to develop capitalism.'' Mr Devarajan said the AIFB was of the firm stand that socialism is the only alternative to capitalism.
''The AIFB stands for Indian Socialism as envisaged by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose,'' he added.
