UT Administration shifts operation of Punjab bound buses to Sect 43
Chandigarh , Jan 14 (UNI) To decongest the ISBT Sector 17, the Chandigarh Administration today shifted the operation of certain bus services from Sector 17 ISBT to Sector 43 ISBT.
A notification to this effect was issued here today by Chandigarh Home Secretary Krishna Mohan.
All bus services operating from Chandigarh to Ludhiana and Kurali/ Mullanpur site would now be shifted to ISBT 43 from ISBT 17.Bus services from Chandigarh to Ropar Side will also be shifted.
All bus services operating from Chandigarh to Sirhind via Landran, Chunni, Fatehgarh have also been shifted from ISBT 17 to ISBT 43.
Meanwhile the CPM today protested the shifting of Sector 17 bus stand. They said that the decision would not only create inconvenience to passengers but would also affect the business of small vendors located at the bus stand.
