Red Ribbon Express reaches Kanpur


Kanpur, Jan 14: Red Ribbon Express train arrived at the Kanpur Central Station here from Lucknow this morning to raise a wareness about AIDS.

The train, which was flagged off from New Delhi by UPA chief Sonia Gandhi in December last, entered Uttar Pradesh from Satna on January 6. It had already covered Allahabad, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh and Lucknow districts. Having a total of six bogies, the Red Ribbon Express has exhibition in three coaches. Eight cultural programme teams were also accompanying the train, which were presenting dance shows and drama to educate masses about AIDS.

The train will leave for Jhansi tonight.

A large number of people, including members of NGOs were flocking the train for the exhibition.
