PHE employees without salaries for 3 months, protested in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jan 14 (UNI) Hundreds of employees of Public Health Engineering (PHE) today took to the streets at Chadoora in the central Kashmir district of Badgam in protest against the non-payment of salaries for the past three months.
Raising slogans against the government and Chief Engineer, PHE, they alleged that they were not being paid their salaries for the past three months.
They said they will continue their protest untill government releases the salaries.
The employees, who had come from far flung and remote areas alleged that the shopkeepers have stopped giving them ration and other essential commodities and their families are facing starvation because of non-payment of salaries.
The protestors said daily-wager engaged in the department have not been paid their wages for the past one year.
