arrived
here
today
on
a
daylong
visit
to
the
city,
amid
tight
security
and
protests
by
Muslim
outfits
for
his
alleged
role
in
2002
Godhra
carnage.
He
was
received
at
the
airport
by
BJP
Tamil
Nadu
President
L
Ganesan,
senior
BJP
leaders
Su
Thirunavukkarasar,
former
Union
Minister
Pon
Radhakrishnan
and
senior
party
leaders
and
former
BJP
Rajya
Sabha
member
and
Thuglaq
Tamil
Political
Weekly
and
Journalist
Cho
S
Ramaswamy.
During his visit, Mr Modi would interact with the office bearers of the party at the BJP headquarters and proceed to AIADMK Supremo J Jayalalithaa's Poes Garden residence for a luncheon meeting in which former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad would also participate. In the evening, Mr Modi would participate in the 37th anniversary function of Thuglaq before team leaving for Ahmedabad tonight.
Modi denied to comment on the meeting and said this meeting is just an invitation from Jayalalitha for lunch on the occasion of Pongal.
