'Lifetime Achievement Award' for Dev Anand
Bangalore, Jan 14 (UNI) 'Evergreen' Hindi film actor and Director, Dev Anand will be honoured with a 'Lifetime Achievement Award' for his 'outstanding conribution' to the film industry by a cultural organisation here.
Vinmusi Club, the organisation would be honouring the living legend and Padma Bhushan Dev Anand on January 19 at Gayatri Vihar in Bangalore Palace Grounds.
To mark the occasion, 'Gaatha-rahe Mera Dil'- a musical journey with selected songs and clippings from some of his best films, would be screened.
Former Kerala and Karnataka High Courts Chief Justice V S Malimath would preside over the function, to be inaugurated by the scion of Mysore royal family Srikantadatta Wodeyar.
Talking to reporters here today, Vinmusi Club General Secretary S Bali said ''we wanted to honour 'The Indian Movie Icon' for his great contribution to the film industry as an actor, director, producer and writer for over six decades.'' UNI MSP SIV SY HS1913
