Haryana to honour women achievers on Women's Day

Chandigarh, Jan 14 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to honour eminent and talented women of the state who have made remarkable achievements in the year 2007 on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8.

While stating this here today, an official spokesman said all the women of the state who had brought laurels to the state and accomplished commendable achievements in the field of education, sports, social services, science and technology, literature, art and culture, health and courage and bravery at the national and international level from January 1, 2007 onwards would be honoured on March 8.

He said the women applicants could send their application for the prestigious honour along with the recommendations of the Deputy Commissioners concerned to the head office of Department of Women and Child Development by January 31.

The women applicants should clearly mention their name, place of birth, date of birth, educational qualifications, telephone numbers, present address, field of achievement, bio-data and details of the achievements made by them in their applications, the spokesman said.
