Four of family burnt alive in South Delhi fire

Four
members
of
a
family,
including
two
minors,
died
in
a
major
blaze
that
swept
a
house
in
the
Dakshinpuri
area
of
South
Delhi
early
today.
The fire began at about 0100 hrs and engulfed the entire family which was sleeping, according to the Fire Brigade. ''All four members of the family were rushed to the Safdarjung Hospital in a critical state, where they died.'' The house which comes under Ambedkar Nagar police station was situated in 'A' block of Dakshinpuri, it said, adding that the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
Sources said the deceased included family head Prem (32), his wife Usha (30), daughter Tanu (11) and son Handa (10).
