Eight KRA activists arrested in Dimapur

Kohima, Jan 14 (UNI) A joint team of Assam Rifles (AR) and Nagaland police arrested seven Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) cadres from Dimapur town.

Official sources said here today that acting on a tip-off, troops raided a house in Natun Bosti area of Dimapur town and arrested seven KRA ultras yesterday and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.

The arrested cadres included a lady and one .32 pistol with 50 live rounds, two magazines, six mobile handsets, one digital camera, one still camera, ten CDs and cash worth Rs 45,000 were recovered from their possession.

On interrogation, the cadres revealed the whereabouts of another ultra, who was later arrested and one AK 56 rifle with a magazine and one live round of 7.65 ammunition was recovered from his possession.
