Aged woman, 2 grandchildren die of suspected food poisoning
Panipat, Jan 14 (UNI) An aged woman and her two grandchildren died of suspected food poisoning at their house in the NFL township here last night.
Three others of the family were found unconscious this morning and were admitted to the civil hospital here.
A police report today said that the incident took place in the house of Azad Singh, a resident of NFL township who is employed as a domestic help in the house Mr R K Aggarwal, chief manager of National Fertilizer Limited (NFL) here.
The deceased included Parmeshawari Devi, 60-year old mother of Azad Singh, his son, Ansu (6) and eight year old daughter, Komal.
The neighbours who broke open the front door of the house in the morning found Azad Singh , his wife Raj and brother lying in an unconscious state. The three were immediately rushed to the civil hospital and the police was informed.
Preliminary investigations by doctors indicated that the deaths were caused due to food poisoning. However the police are waiting for the post mortem report before proceeding further in the case.
