'BSP, Cong not serious towards reservation to Dalit Muslims'

Lucknow, Jan 13: The All India United Muslim Morcha today blamed the Central and the Uttar Pradesh governments for not being serious towards reservation to Dalit Muslims.

'' In a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on August 20, UP CM Mayawati insisted that the Dalit Christians should be included into the Scheduled Caste (SC) list, but ignored the Dalit Muslims,'' All India United Muslim Morcha president M A Siddiqui said addressing media here.

He lambasted the Congress led-UPA government at the Centre for ignoring the same, as the party had remained in power for the maximum tenure.

The racialism based politics would only adversely affect society, DR Siddiqui observed.
