No breakthrough in kidnapping of jeweller's son

Jaipur, Jan 12 (UNI) The Jaipur police is yet to make any breakthrough in tracing the twelve-year-old son of a jeweller who was kidnapped from outside the Mahaveer Nagar house here.

The boy was kidnapped yesterday when he had alighted from an autorickshaw on return from school in front of his house.

The district police had announced a cash reward of Rs one lakh to any one who would help trace the boy.

Jaipur (East) SP V K Singh said the police was not able to make any progress in the case and search was on for the boy.

The registration number of the car used for kidnapping turned out to be fake. It was noted down by some labourers engaged in road construction work outside the victim's house at the time of the incident.

The kidnapped boy, Mihir Jain, is a sixth-standard student of Nirja Modi school. Police denied any ransom demand from the kidnappers so far.
