Doshion bags Rs 300 crore order for Desalination plant
Ahmedabad, Jan 12: The city-based Doshion , a 220 crore water management company has bagged Rs 300 crore order of Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals (RSMML) for setting up a 20 Million Litres per Day (MLD) Brackish Water Desalination Plant on BOOT basis at Kasnau-Matasukh Lignite Mines, Nagaur in Rajasthan.
RSMML is the largest producer of high grade rock phosphate in India and pioneer in lignite mining in Rajasthan. Intending to desalinate the brackish water coming out of mine, RSMML called for the water management companies from across the country wherein Doshion emerged as the winner of contract for setting up the desalination facility.
Doshion will install desalination facility having a capacity of 20 MLD on BOOT basis for at least 15 years. The treated water conforming to WHO standards will be supplied to the water deficient villages in and around Nagaur district.
Prior to this Doshion had installed the India's first sea water RO on BOOT basis for supplying water to 300 villages of Ramnathpuram District of Tamil Nadu.
