Temperature stays above normal in capital
New Delhi, Jan 11 (UNI) The capital continued to enjoy a spell of pleasant weather today as the temperature stayed above normal despite the mercury dipping by nearly two degrees from yesterday.
The Met office here said the minimum temperature in Delhi stood at 11.5 degrees Celsius, four degrees above normal. It was yesterday recorded at 13.2 degrees Celsius, six degrees above normal.
The maximum temperature was today recorded at 20.4 degrees Celsius, about one degree less than normal.
The Met office said although the minimum temperature in the capital at this time of the season remains usually low, the absence of cold wave in the city is due to the cloud cover caused by western disturbances.
It also said there was almost no fog this morning.
The weatherman predicted fog tomorrow morning and said the minimum temperature would hover around nine degrees Celsius.
