Special trains from Trichy, Kochuveli to Chennai

Chennai, Jan 11 (UNI) The Southern Railway today announced that it would run special trains during Pongal and Sabarimala season to clear the extra rush of passengers.

A SR release here said the Chennai Egmore-Tiruchirapalli Special would leave Chennai Egmore at 2315 hrs on January 12 and reach its destination at 0630 hrs the next day.

The Kochuveli-Chennai Central Special would leave Kochuveli at 0730 hrs on January 15 and reach Chennai Central at 2355 hrs the same day.

Meanwhile, the Computerised Passenger Reservation Centres in Tamil Nadu would function for only a shift, similar to the Sunday pattern of working (0800 hrs to 1400 hrs), on Pongal day (January 15), the release added.
