One killed in firing over eve-teasing

Meerut, Jan 11 (UNI) A man was shot dead, while two others sustained bullet wounds in a firing over the alleged eve-teasing incident in Mundali area here, police said today.

The spat over the eve-teasing incident snowballed late last night and the two groups resorted to firing, the police added.

Jai Veer (55) succumbed to his injuries in a hospital. The two injured are convalescing in a hospital.

Meanwhile, a person has been arrested in connection with the crime and police deployment strengthened to maintain peace in the area.
