Italian museum holds 10-day exhibition in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Jan 11 (UNI) To showcase evolution of 50 years of its design excellence, the La Triennale Di Milano Museum in Italy is exhibiting its permanent collection of ''100 Objects of Italian Design'' at NID here.

The 10-day exhibition, which commenced from today, presents some of the most important and representative works in the history of Italian Art since the end of World War II.

The exhibition has on display objects from Olivetti typewriter to Piaggio Vespa scooter, which are no longer manufactured, but continue to be masterpieces for generations to come.

The artefacts exhibited date from 1945 to 2005 and have influenced taste and trends in design throughout the world.

Ambassador of Italy to India Antonio Armellini, speaking on the occasion, said both India and Italy have a deep-rooted bond because of their culture and tradition.
