Zardari hopes to emulate Sonia Gandhi

New Delhi, Jan 10 (UNI) PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari wants to emulate Congress president Sonia Gandhi...but says there can be no comparison with a ''great woman'' like her.

''She is a much bigger figure than I can ever hope to be,'' Mr Zardari told a web portal when asked to elaborate on a wish he recently expressed to emulate Ms Gandhi.

She has earned her spurs and guided the largest democracy in the world, he added.

''I am merely starting, so I can't possibly hope or wish to compare myself to a great lady like that,'' said the husband of assassinated former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
